July marked the beginning of 41 years that Judy Kacik has been the Cathedral secretary … 41 years since Monsignor Judson called and said “sharpen your pencil.”

She is an active member of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Duquesne Pennsylvania. Judy has been married to Bob Kacik for 55 years. Their only daughter, Michele, died in 1983 from leukemia at 15 years of age. Bob and Judy are both members of the Archdiocesan Choir and Judy is one of the cantors at her home parish and cantors morning Divine Liturgy here at the Cathedral.
